Skyline
The skyline will forever be embedded in my mind
These eyes have seen many lights
Transfixed in the darkest tones of night
Many geometric silhouettes
Stemming from a concrete earth
But none quite like these
Here the stars drown in light
The visible aura of the metropolis
In its constant glow, has little mercy
For stars, rising and falling
Though much less for ones in descent
For each flame burns on its own accord
